I was inspired to create this piece after seeing these birds up close during a family trip to Everglades National Park. We camped on a houseboat right next to the mangroves, waking each morning to the still water, warm air, and the quiet presence of these birds. This artwork is my way of capturing that feeling — calm, observant, and deeply connected to place.
